Accessibility Statement
Last reviewed: August 2026
1. Our commitment
TESTUNO (testuno.app) is committed to making its platform usable by as many people as possible, including people with visual, motor, auditory or cognitive disabilities.
Our target standard is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, applied across the whole platform: the homepage, test landing pages, test modules, results and report views, the profile area, editorial articles and all legal pages.
2. Conformance status
Partial conformance. TESTUNO has been developed with accessibility in mind, but it has not yet undergone a full independent accessibility audit. Some features may not fully meet all WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criteria.
We state this openly rather than claiming conformance we have not verified. This statement is reviewed as the platform evolves, and the date above reflects the most recent internal review.
3. Known limitations
The following areas are known or likely not to meet all Level AA criteria. We list them so you know what to expect before you start:
- Timed tests cannot be paused. Reaction-time, speed, memory-span and other timed cognitive tests measure performance under time pressure. Allowing a pause or an extension would invalidate the measurement, so these tests are an intentional exception to the WCAG 2.2.1 (Timing Adjustable) expectation. Untimed alternatives exist across the catalog, for example questionnaire-based personality, relationship and career tests.
- Canvas and animation-heavy test modules — for example the reaction-time test, aim trainer, mouse-accuracy and mouse-tracking tests — rely on precise pointer input and visual timing. They may not be fully operable by keyboard alone and are not meaningfully usable with a screen reader.
- Auto-playing stimulus sequences in memory tests (visual, sequence, pattern and digit-span tasks) present items automatically and cannot be replayed on demand, because replaying would change what is being measured.
- Third-party checkout. Payment for premium reports takes place in a hosted checkout provided by Stripe. Its accessibility is governed by Stripe and outside our control.
- Editorial content generated with AI assistance (research news and science articles) follows the same page structure as the rest of the site, but individual articles have not been reviewed item by item for accessibility.
4. Technical approach
Measures currently in place across the platform:
- Semantic HTML structure with a single main heading per page and a logical heading hierarchy.
- Accessible names on interactive controls, including ARIA labels on icon-only buttons, the search field, navigation toggles and the language selector.
- Keyboard-operable navigation, menus, dialogs and forms, with visible focus indicators.
- A dark-mode design system built for sufficient text contrast, with results and scores communicated as text and not by color alone.
- Responsive layouts that work from small mobile screens to desktop without horizontal scrolling, and that tolerate browser zoom and increased text size.
- Respect for the operating system's reduced-motion preference: decorative animations and transitions are suppressed when it is enabled.
- Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images, and decorative visuals kept out of the accessibility tree.
5. Compatibility
TESTUNO is tested with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge on desktop and mobile.
Text-based pages — test landing pages, results summaries, reports, editorial articles, the profile area and legal pages — are usable with operating-system screen readers such as NVDA (Windows) and VoiceOver (macOS/iOS).
Timed performance and canvas-based tests are inherently limited for screen-reader and keyboard-only use, as described in section 3. We disclose this rather than implying full support.
The platform does not require any browser plug-in and does not depend on JavaScript for reading legal or editorial content structure beyond the standard single-page application shell.
6. Feedback and contact
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on TESTUNO, please tell us. Describe the page or test, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology, browser and device you were using.
Email: jdm.prjct [at] gmail.com
We aim to respond within 2 business days and will tell you what we can fix, and by when. If something cannot be made accessible without invalidating a measurement, we will say so honestly and point you to an equivalent alternative where one exists.
Our full provider identification and postal address are listed in our legal notice.
7. Enforcement procedure
This statement is issued with reference to the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and the harmonised European standard EN 301 549, which incorporates WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
If you have contacted us about an accessibility barrier and are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the German conciliation body for accessibility:
Schlichtungsstelle nach dem Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz (BGG) bei dem Beauftragten der Bundesregierung für die Belange von Menschen mit Behinderungen — Mauerstraße 53, 10117 Berlin, Germany. Email: info@schlichtungsstelle-bgg.de. Website: schlichtungsstelle-bgg.de. The conciliation procedure is free of charge and requires no legal representation.
If you are located in another EU member state, you may also contact the accessibility enforcement or complaints body responsible in your own country.
