What this measures
Face Memory measures recognition memory for faces using a signal-detection score (d'). It's a research-grounded visual memory task.
How it works
Study 10 generated avatar faces, each shown briefly. Then for 20 faces, decide whether each is Old (seen before) or New. Faces are SVG avatars — never real photos.
How results are calculated
Your primary score is d' (d-prime), a signal-detection measure of how well you separate old from new faces (higher is better), estimated against population norms.
Accuracy & limitations
Attention and avatar distinctiveness affect results. This is a research-grounded task (Evidence B).
