What this measures
Rhythm measures your average timing deviation when tapping along to a metronome. It's a direct benchmark of sensorimotor timing.
How it works
A metronome plays at 100 BPM. After a four-beat count-in, tap along with every beat as precisely as you can for 16 beats.
How results are calculated
Your primary score is the average absolute deviation between your taps and the nearest beat in milliseconds (lower is better), estimated against population norms.
Accuracy & limitations
Audio latency and input device affect timing. This is a research-grounded benchmark (Evidence B).
