What this measures
Transient Number Memory measures how many digits you can hold and reproduce after a one-second flash. It's a research-grounded short-term memory span task.
How it works
A number flashes on screen for one second, then disappears. Type it exactly. The length grows when you're right and shrinks when you're wrong. Two misses in a row end the test.
How results are calculated
Your primary score is the maximum span you reproduced correctly (higher is better), estimated against population norms.
Accuracy & limitations
Attention and input method affect results. This is a research-grounded task (Evidence C), not a clinical evaluation.
