What this measures
Short-Term Memory measures your span for mixed verbal (digit) and visuospatial (position) sequences. It's a research-grounded span task, not a clinical memory test.
How it works
Items alternate between a digit sequence and a grid-position sequence. Reproduce each one correctly to grow the span; a miss shrinks it. Two consecutive misses end the test.
How results are calculated
Your primary score is the maximum span you reproduced correctly (higher is better), estimated against population norms.
Accuracy & limitations
Attention, fatigue and input method affect results. This is a research-grounded task (Evidence B), not a clinical evaluation.
